By accessing or using Cassiel ("the App"), you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Cassiel is an AI-powered task management application provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The App uses artificial intelligence to help organize, prioritize, and manage tasks.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. You acknowledge that: AI-generated suggestions, priorities, and recommendations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate; the App should not be relied upon as the sole basis for important decisions; task data, reminders, and alerts may not always function as expected; and the App is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind.
To provide the service, Cassiel stores the following information, both on secure cloud servers (Amazon Web Services) and locally on your device. We store data in both places so the App loads quickly and so you see the same data across multiple devices when you sign in with your email and password. We store: your tasks and their details; "facts" the App learns about you to personalize assistance; notes you attach to your Big Goals; and your answers to clarification questions the App asks about specific tasks. We store your ZIP code (postal code) solely to display local weather; we do not store or track your precise location or location history. We store a device identifier so our servers can send you push notifications (such as reminders and coaching messages). We store your account email address for sign-in. We do not track traffic or driving routes.
Your data is evaluated by an artificial intelligence (large language model) to organize, prioritize, clarify, and provide coaching about your tasks and goals. AI processing is performed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock; Bedrock processes your data to generate a response but does not store or retain your data. AI processing of your data is used solely to provide App functionality. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
You can view and delete the facts the App has stored about you, and the notes attached to your Big Goals, at any time through the App. Answers you gave to clarification questions about a task are stored with that task and are removed when you delete the task. You may delete all of your data at any time through the App settings.
We retain your data for as long as you keep it in the App. Your data remains stored until you delete it (individual items, or all of your data) or delete your account, at which point it is removed from our servers and your device. We do not impose a separate expiration period on your stored data.
Your data is stored and processed in the United States. Cloud storage and AI processing both occur on AWS infrastructure located in the United States.
Cassiel is intended for users aged 13 and older in the United States. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPERS OF CASSIEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
You are responsible for: the accuracy of information you provide; maintaining the security of your account credentials; any actions taken based on AI-generated suggestions; and complying with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by the developers and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
We reserve the right to modify this policy and these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason.
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States.
